TDLR closes the Garland massage restaurant for a suspect of human trafficking – The Katy News

Austin – The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has issued a six -month emergency closure order in force on January 21, 2025 for a massage in Garland for suspected human trafficking.

TDLR had previous cases of business related to the same address.

HB 3579, adopted in the 88th regular session of the legislature, came into force on September 1, 2023. According to the law, the TDLR Executive Director may issue an emergency order that stops the work of any massage establishment if the law enforcement or TDLR believe that traffic It happens to people within law enforcement or TDLR considers the establishment.

This order is an 18th emergency order issued by TDLR as the law came into force.
