State Texas is approaching 3 million common active enterprises – Kauz

Austin, Texas (Kauz) – Secretary of State of Texas Jane Nelson has announced today that Texas has added over 30,000 active businesses in January and over 35,000 since the beginning of 2025.

The additions brought Texas into a new total of 2 964 180 active business entities during the press release of the Secretary of the State.

“Texas continues to be a country where businesses can start and grow,” said Secretary Nelson. “This increase in the number of active business entities in the country is another indicator of our pro-business environment and reflects optimism for doing business in Texas.”

The registered active business entities in Texas include both Texas -based companies and outside the state that work in the state in some way. More than 2 million of nearly 3 million registered business entities are limited liability companies in the country.
