25 Baton Rouge students who go to New Orleans to participate in Super Bowl Week activities – WBRZ

Baton Rouge, twenty-five Baton Rouge students head to New Orleans on Wednesday and Thursday to participate in numerous Super Bowl Week activities as part of the Youth Mission Submitted by National Athletics/National Police activities/activities.

“National Pal is an organization where law enforcement officers work daily with young people to help them navigate the difficult challenges and changes in life. This is where employees get a chance to return to the community by working hand in hand , “Said CEO Christopher Hill.

Pal was all to help children with activities focused on sports. It now includes activities that also help children who want to enter other fields as influencing social media or careers in criminal justice.

One of nearly 300 National Pal heads around the world is a program led by Baton Rouge Police Department.

“(We) we build our relationships and inform them that we are here to protect and serve. Building this connection and knowing that they have, and if they have problems, they can come to the law enforcement agencies,” a spokesman for BRPD LT LT LT LT LT LT LT LT LT Brpd, LT of Brpd Lt.

The 25 students are from Geo Next Generation and Collegiate Baton Rouge High Schools and will go with leaders from Baton Rouge Bridge Agency Inc., educational non -profit.

“We will actually get involved in some of their technological skills around AV (audio -visual) work and help with that. We have learned that some children want to be influential, so we will help them do some interviews with some of the athletes,” said Hill.

One of the students wants to be a lawyer and has the opportunity to meet several people from the New Orleans Law Department during the trip.

“My pursuit of a career is to be a criminal defense lawyer. I have over $ 600,000 scholarships. I’m close to a million,” Senior Geo Dantasia Davis.

Students say they are grateful to Bridge and National Pal for giving them this opportunity.

“This program really helped me become a better person and learn how to talk about myself and say when I need help,” said the student at Geo Jazee Bell.

National Pal has several former Pal Kids playing in this year’s Super Bowl, including Eagles Brandon Graham and Mekhi Becton players.
