The California Democrats are passing on twins of Trump – Department of the State – San Bernardino Sun County

The California Democrats in the State Legislative Authority have adopted two bills on Monday intend to “refute Trump” the state by putting an end to a special session called by governor Gavin News after the November election.

A Newsom spokesman did not answer when asked if the governor plans to sign the bills. When he calls the session, Newsom sought more funding for state cases against President Donald Trump’s new administration. On Monday, Democrats at the State Assembly adopted a bill sending an additional $ 25 million to the State Department of Justice, which has already sued the federal government over his attempts to freeze trillions of dollars in federal funds and cancel the citizenship of Bild.

But the questions arose last week when Sacramento’s television station KCRA reported that the governor was looking for a change in another legislative act at the center of the special session: $ 25 million for grants and contracts of lawyers representing immigrants facing deportation.

According to KCRA, the governor supports a change in the bill to specify that the funds cannot be used to protect immigrants with criminal stories. The governor and his representatives were tightly attached to this opportunity last week and the democratic leaders of the state Senate and a meeting. The Senate had already accepted both bills without amendment.

The Democrats at the State Assembly followed the example on Monday. When the Republican member of the Assembly Leticia Castillo of Crown introduced a change in disqualification of immigrants with a criminal history of help, the Democrats – who have an super master in the House – brought it.

Instead, the Higher Democrats have announced that they have written a “letter of legislative intention”, stating: “None of the funding … is not intended to be used for immigration services, for persons with serious or violent crimes.”

The letter was signed by a member of the Assembly Jesse Gabriel of Enchino and Senator Scott Wiener of San Francisco, who sponsors the bill. However, the language of the letter will not be included in the bill, said the speaker Pro Tem Josh Lowental.

The Republicans blew up the letter as a stuntman.

“The words are cheap, the actions mean everything,” said Assembly member Carl Demeyo of San Diego. He called the letter “A note then on the cover of a bill that has no effect on the law.”

The debate debate was a witness. But the Democrats bent their super mastery and passed the bill without the support of the Republicans.

The Democrats also made side members of the GOP of the Assembly to pass the additional funding for the State Department of Justice, led by Democrats General Rob Bont Bont, she holds legal challenges at Trump’s actions.

The bont-democrat, which is expected to consider an application for governor in 2026, has already joined at least two multi-state legal challenges to delay Trump’s actions, canceling the citizenship of first-born and potential freezing of trillions in federal costs.

The democratic member of the Assembly Mark Berman of Palo Alto said he expects California to see a significant “return on investment” by financing court cases.
