The country star split from Deb Pifer in May 2023, shortly before he went public with his now-ex Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia
Zach Brian’s ex-girlfriend Deb Pifer opens up about how she feels about his recent split from Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia.
On Thursday, October 24, Pfeiffer posted a TikTok in response to comments she saw on her own social media pages hinting at negative feelings she had about her ex’s widely publicized breakup.
“I really don’t feel like I have to say this, but I kind of think I want to. I’m still not 100% sure, to be honest,” Peifer began. “But I just want to make clear the fact that I take no satisfaction in seeing other people hurt. In particular, other women are hurt.’
She continued: “I think emotions are so nuanced and so complex, but I don’t feel better because other people hurt me in any way. I don’t think you should either, but it’s your journey.’

Brian and Pfeiffer split in May 2023 after first being linked the previous year. The “Dawns” singer announced the end of their relationship on X (formerly Twitter), saying he wanted to share the news “for transparency and respect.”
“Things between us are mutual, we leave with a lot [of] memories and good times,” he wrote at the time. “I really pray that everyone respects her privacy and mine during these difficult times.”
In October, the country star took to social media to confirm that he and LaPaglia had split after initially going public with their relationship in July 2023. In an Instagram Stories post shared earlier this week, Bryan wrote : “Addressing something: Brianna and I broke up with [each other] and I respect and love her with every bit of my heart. She has loved me unconditionally for a very long time and for that I will always thank her.”

He added: “Personally, I’ve had an incredibly difficult year and I’ve struggled with some pretty tough things. I thought it would be beneficial for both of us to go our separate ways. I’m not perfect and I never will be. Please respect Brianna’s privacy and space in this and if you have it in your heart, mine too.”
Shortly after Brian shared his post, LaPaglia responded on her own Instagram Stories, noting that she felt “blindsided.” The Bri UnCut Plan podcaster explained the feeling in a short YouTube video.
“I just woke up to Zac posting on his Instagram that we broke up and I had no idea this post was going to show up. He didn’t text me, he didn’t call me. I just woke up to a bunch of texts like, ‘Are you okay?'” LaPaglia explained in her video recorded on the bathroom floor, a place she said “gives her comfort” at the start of the video.

Pointing out the “swelling” of her face, she admitted that she had “cried for five days straight”.
The content creator went on to explain that he doesn’t want to talk about “details right now,” though he confirmed that he “will, obviously” in time. At that point, however, she said she “wanted to heal in private” but “had no idea about it [Bryan] was going to post” about their breakup.
