Two Birmingham men were accused of federal level in 2024 of carrying a Lyft driver.

Kyone d’As Harris and Brandon Taylor Ezell, both of the age of 24, are accused of stealing and possessing a firearm in support of a crime of violence, according to a message from Tuesday from the North District of Alabama, US Prim Escalona and the FBR special agent on Carleton Peeples accusation.

According to the federal documents, a few days before it happened that Harris and Ezel used Lyft’s application to plan a ride and were taken by the driver, identified only as the “SB” at the Toyota Corolla of the driver in 2023. On October 5, Ezel and his girlfriend called SB for a walk. They wanted to be taken from an apartment complex near Fourth Avenue West and 14th W. Street in Birmingham. Then Ezel and his girlfriend directed the driver to take Harris in another apartment complex near the 30th Avenue north and 31st street to the north.

SB drove them to a gas station in the 3400 block on the 26th street to the north, where all three went inside while SB stayed in their car.

Harris, the authorities said, then removed a gun from their waistband and handed it to Ezel, which put the gun in the waist lane and returned to Lyft’s car.

At that moment the prosecution reads, Ezel put the gun on SB’s head and said, “Get out of the car or I will kill you.”

The driver complied and the suspects remain in Toyota, also taking SB’s phone, wallet and $ 100 in cash.

Both were arrested on state charges, court records show.

In an unrelated case, the 22 -year -old Charles Avery Prut is charged with federal charges for terminating and possessing a firearm in support of a crime for the session on July 10 on the Dodge charger.

The 30 -year -old Dearrius Dontrel Pace has been charged with federal accusations of allegations of theft and abduction. This crime happened on July 16, 2024.

Pace is accused of stealing Buik Lucerne in shooting.

Both Pace and Prut are also charged with the State Court.
