Seattle restaurants gather around the Immigration Rights issue – Forbes

More than 100 restaurants, bars, cafes and pop -up windows are involved in funding efforts, long -raising efforts to raise the weekend aimed at supporting immigration initiatives and organizations. Here is a list of where to dine, a composition that reads as who is in the culinary landscape of the city.

The efforts described to support immigration rights in the light of the current mass deportations of the current administration quickly took steam when members of the restaurant community began to brainstorming.

“He got together in a week, which was quite fast,” said Eric Tanaka of Tom Douglas’ restaurants. “I think everyone wanted to get on board. It was easy to. “

Efforts were announced on social media on Monday afternoon and the answer was positive so far. “That is why we love to be part of this community, especially when it comes to the people we work with, recognizing what they mean to restaurants, as key team members, they are like a family.”

Each restaurant handles the weekend by writing your own scenario, whether it means offering special offers or donating some of the sales. The Northwest Immigrant Rights project is the organization identified as a major beneficiary, but every restaurant calls if there is another organization that they plan to focus on.
