Fremont HY -VEE store offering free biometric screenings in February – Fremont Tribune

HY-VEE, INC. It has announced that it will provide 1,500 free biometric screenings in Select Hy-Vy-VEE stores across its area of ​​eight countries through American Heart Month.

Biometric screening is a combination of measurements and indications that can help identify potential risk factors for chronic diseases or conditions such as heart disease, hypertension or diabetes. Hy-Wee nutritionists will collect a blood sample from a finger stick that will be used to determine cholesterol levels, triglycerides and glucose levels. They will also take measurement of blood pressure, height, weight and waist and will calculate the body mass index.

The whole screening process usually takes 15 to 20 minutes and all results will be reviewed and obtained during the screening. People must be 18 years or older to participate and are required to quickly 10-12 hours before screening.

Registration is required for the free biometric screening that can be done online. Once registered, a local HY-VVE dietetic will schedule screening based on availability. Free biometric screenings are only available for limited time and are provided in partnership by Silk, Mid-Day Squares, PB2 Performance Protein and Highbush Blueberry Council in the United States.
