Ricardo Gonzalez Sauseda, leader of Mexican cartel del Norster, was arrested in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, on Monday after the Mexican president agreed to work with Trump to secure the border.

After his arrest, the violence broke out on the streets of Nuevo Laredo, with numerous shootings and highways blocked.

“Family, we have (situations at risk) in several areas of the city,” Nuevo Mayor Larendo Carmen Lilia Canturosas posted on Facebook around 8:49 on Monday.

“Please do not leave your homes at this point. Be safe and take precautions to avoid incidents. I am coordinating with the authorities. I will inform you. “

The US Consulate in Nuevo Laredo also publishes a warning about violence.
