Wilmington, de – an accident for injury to South Market St Bridge closes RTE 13 – Local Accident Reports

Wilmington, DE (February 3, 2025) – A crash is reported with injuries on Road 13 on the southern market bridge early on Monday morning.

The incident led to the complete closure of the bridge, as emergency responding and road crews worked to support participating and treat the dangerous conditions. At 7:35, the officials opened the northern sails again, but the southern sails remained closed as the crews continued to clear ice and guarantee the safety of the roadway. At 8:15, all the sails were salted, cleaned and fully open for traffic.
