Reno Rodeo Foundation accepts scholarship applications -Independent -New -news of Mineral County

The Reno Rodeo Foundation is Accepting Applications for ITS 2025 Scholarship Program Now Through Friday, Mar. 28. With a Longstanding Commitment to Supporting Higher Education in Northern Nevada, The Foundation Will Award More Than $ 150,000 in Scholarships This Year, Including Two New Estbled AW

Tom Dolan’s scholarship, created in memory of Tom Dolan’s dedication to the Community, will provide $ 10,000 a year to students involved in business diplomas. Guy Clifton’s scholarship, designed to acknowledge the lasting impact of journalist Guy Cliffon, will award $ 10,000 a year to students studying journalism or related areas.

Since 1986, the Reno Rodeo Foundation has supported hundreds of students in North Nevada in its pursuit of higher education. The scholarships are available to graduates of high schools and students from North Nevada, who plan to enroll in an accredited college, University of Nevada or Trade/Career/Vocational School. Students who are pursuing a non -NEVADA non -offered fundamental can also apply for funding to visit an external institution. Additional attention is paid to candidates who are current or former foster youths, as well as those involved in 4-H, FFA, GRANGE or RODEO programs.

The Reno Rodeo Foundation Scholarship Program is partly possible by the revenue from the Rodeo state registration number, as well as the community donations, which can be specifically determined as scholarships. In addition to the scholarships funded by the Foundation, the organization administers donor -funded awards, including the Al Evans Silver Spurs Scholarship, giving a meaningful way to people and organizations to directly influence local students’ educational trips. Each dollar contributes to a donor -funded scholarship, goes directly to the students (s) who receive a scholarship, guaranteeing maximum impact and investment in their education.
