The Commercial Standards team seized 250 “Illegal Wipe” from two Irvine stores – Irvine Times

The North Irshire Council team opened Hauls yesterday (Monday, February 3) during routine visits while preparing for the upcoming disposable ban.

Police have warned that such varies can exceed the legal nicotine volumes or not meet safety standards.

The stores where the baths are found have not yet been indicated.

A police spokesman in Scotland said today: “The local community continues to emphasize the fears of VAPE’s illegal products and the obvious ease that our young people have in the acquisition of these age -bound items.

“Police in Scotland, Airshire and North Irshire, trade standards are conducting regular partnership visits to Vape Store distributors.

“On Monday, February 3, the standards of trade in North Irshire conducted routine visits to preparing for the forthcoming disposable ban and opened two stores in Irvine that sell illegal products to VAPE. 250 VAPE units were subsequently seized.”

They added: “Illegal vari can exceed the strengths of nicotins, the volumes of vape juice, include prohibited flavors or do not meet the United Kingdom safety standards.

“If you suspect that the retailer is being sold to minors or selling illegal products, you must announce it.

The ban on disposable sales is effective in Scotland on April 1.
