Celebrating the Halloween season with music: Laredo Philharmonic presents ‘The Phantom Fanfare’ – KGNS

LAREDO, Texas (KGNS) – As Halloween approaches, the Laredo Philharmonic is ready to set the mood with “The Phantom Fanfare,” a musical celebration that promises thrills and chills.

John Raymond and Dr. Joseph Crabtree of the Laredo Philharmonic spent their Friday morning sharing more details about this incredibly enjoyable event. This concert marks the opening of the Philharmonic’s 45th season and is designed to be fun for all ages.

Audiences can expect a mix of spooky classics including Ghostbusters and A monstrous messalong with more intense pieces performed by Dr. Colin Campbell on pipe organ featuring darker, heavier sounds. Dr Crabtree explains that while their usual repertoire focuses on the major keys, this concert covers the minor keys to explore the darker side of music, making it particularly appealing to young people.
