How Cardiff, Durham Reaks will affect the United Kingdom’s Health System – Hrkatha

Many courses at the University of Cardiff have been included in the closure list. About 400 full -time jobs are also eliminated. Why? Due to a shortage of funds. While the University of Cardiff faces a deficit of £ 30 million, Durham University also covers a cost reduction to save about £ 20 million over a two -year period.

Durham has revealed intent to reduce 200 roles to achieve sustainability and financial stability.

Reducing Cardiff’s jobs is caused by a decline in the number of applications by international students and a jump in operational costs. As it increases its budget challenges, which is increasing, the university resorts to pruning its staff.

Reports say that the haircut of Cardiff staff will affect the number of nurses available to the healthcare system in Wales. This is because the reduction of work will affect mainly the courses offered in nursing in addition to ancient history and religion, music, contemporary languages and theology. Welsh hospitals also do not have at least 2000 nurses and therefore the closure of the nursing course does not benefit well for the health system.

The Cardiff University, however, maintains that these abbreviations have only been offered and nothing has yet been finalized. Discussions continue with all stakeholders and the university assures that there will be no immediate adverse effects. Also, the 2025-26 programs will not be affected and applications for the upcoming school year will also not be rejected.
