Vermont Federal Cu Partners with Guard to provide awards for scholarships to students from military families – Vermont Bus

Vermont Business Magazine The Federal Credit Union in Vermont is again proud to have partnered again with the Vermont National Guard to support military -based students. Together, they award scholarships of $ 1,000 to four Vermont students.

  • Colby Galippo from Charlotte, VT will visit Gordon College

  • Connor McNale from Strait, New York, will visit the University of Syracuse

  • Abigail Gagnon by Shelburne, VT will visit the University of Vermont

  • Lily Korchikovsky of Richmond, VT will visit the college in Charleston

The students were selected by candidates who served or have a family member who served in the Vermont National Guard.

“We are committed to supporting those who serve our nation, recognizing the deep impact that this can have on their lives and the lives of their families. Thanks to the generous support of Vermont’s Federal Credit Union, we can offer this scholarship program and honor these deserving students. Scholarships extend beyond only financial assistance; They are our commitment to the family of the National Guard in Vermont, “said Jason Beams, a lieutenant colonel at Vermont’s National Guard.

This celebrates the 3rd year of partnership between Vermont’s Federal Credit Union and the Vermont National Guard Association in offering this scholarship. Since 2022, the program has awarded $ 12,000 scholarships to local students.

“We deeply appreciate the dedication and victim of Vermont National Guard and its members in servicing our country,” says Peter Winch, Vice President of Marketing. “The partnership with them for the support and celebration of students and families who have given so much to our nation is an honor that we accept to heart.”

The program is one of the several scholarship initiatives offered by Vermont Federal. Each year, Vermont Federal presents its annual student scholarship program, awarding five $ 2,000 educational scholarships each to Vermont students. Vermont Federal has additional scholarship partnerships with Spectrum Youth & Family Services, Boys & Girls Club by Burlington and striving for excellence.
