Halloween Storytime, 10-10:30 a.m., Keene Memorial Library, 1030 N. Broad St., Fremont. Storytime is open to children of all ages and their caregivers. Stories, songs and crafts are included. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Fremont Eagles Club open 3 p.m.-noon, 649 N. Main St., Fremont. The club may stay open later or close earlier depending on business. The kitchen will be open from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The menu will include fish, shrimp, wings, fish sandwiches, chicken tenders, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, baked potatoes, fries, sprouts, onion rings and salad. 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat, 5-8 p.m., Salvation Army, 707 N. I St., Fremont. There will be games and prizes, food and treats and family photos. Entrance is free. Donations are welcome.

Haunted Historical Tours, 7-9:30 p.m., Fremont Opera House, 541 N. Broad St., Fremont. The first tour starts at 19:00 and then another tour every 30 minutes or so until 21:00 when the last tour of the evening starts. Tickets for the tour are $10, with a maximum group size of about 12 people. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of the Fremont Opera House’s mission to restore the historic building. Spooky Maze Night, 7-10 p.m., Hollow Corn Oak Pumpkin Maze at Camp Fontanelle, 9677 County Road 3, near Fontanelle. Everyone is invited to touch the corn maze at night.

The Nebraska football game starts at 11 a.m. and the Husker volleyball game starts at 7 p.m. The kitchen will be open from 17:30 to 19:30. The special will be a 12-ounce prime rib with jus, baked potato, veggies, salad and coffee for $24.99. There will be other dinner options as well.

Trick or Treat, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Hy-Vee, 840 E. 23rd St., Fremont. All are invited to spooky family fun and activities. Costumes are encouraged.

Alcoholics Anonymous Women’s Heart Talk Group, noon, Chapter 5 Club, Fremont.

Lifegate Fremont Fall Festival, noon to 4 p.m., 2407 N. Colorado Ave., Fremont. Everyone is invited to enjoy free food, a hay ride, petting zoo, bounce house, vendors, prize drawings and more. The first 100 children will receive a free pumpkin. For the safety and respect of the zoo’s domestic animals, no pets will be allowed at the festival. Free chili and hot dogs will be served from noon to 2 p.m

Trunk or Treat, noon to 2 p.m., Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1440 E. Military Ave., Fremont.

Mall-O-Ween, 12:30 to 3 p.m., Fremont Mall. The mall will be transformed into a festive, spooky wonderland for the annual holiday. Children are invited to dress up in their costumes and go to the mall games. Participating stores will be giving away candy and other goodies.

Trunk or Treat, 3-5pm, Fremont High CTE parking lot (north side next to tennis courts). The first 25 kids will receive a free Halloween t-shirt. The event, which is sponsored by the high school’s FCCLA, multicultural club and student council, will feature candy, hot cocoa, popcorn, costumes, cars, music and more.

Fall Fest and Trunk or Treat, 5-7 p.m., First Congregational Church, 1550 N. Broad St., Fremont. There will be games for children. Soup, treats, cider and cocoa will be available by free will donation. All are welcome.

2024 White Light Mile, dusk, downtown Fremont. The race will be the USATF Nebraska Road Mile Championship and will be held on the USATF and chip-certified course, which ensures accuracy and fairness. Runners will enjoy a flat route, making it perfect for personal bests or just a fun run under the white lights of historic downtown Fremont. The race will begin in front of Milady Coffeehouse at 105 E. Sixth St. The course will run through downtown, ending between Fifth and Sixth Streets at Park Avenue. Uniquely Yours Annual Stability Support Halloween Party, 8 p.m. to midnight, Fremont Eagles Club Ballroom, 649 N. Main St., Fremont. There will be a costume contest, prizes, a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction and live music by Whiskey River. Admission is $10 at the door. All proceeds will go to UYSS, a non-profit organization that focuses on preventing homelessness.

Registration for the Cornhole tournament will begin at noon. The first throw is set for 13:00. Cost is $40 per team. The event will also feature raffles and a silent auction. Raffle drawing will be at 5pm – no need to be present to win. All profits will go to the Kellsie’s Hope Foundation to support the granting of wishes for children battling cancer.
