South Carolina State Fair opens applications for scholarships from 2025 College – item Sumter

Columbia-State Fair of South Carolina, a self-supported non-profit organization 501 (C), is excited to announce the opening of applications for its 28^th An annual ride of your life scholarship program. Each year, this initiative distributes $ 500,000 into scholarships to South Carolina Colleges. Applications are open until March 15, 2025 and can be submitted online at Scstatefair.org/scholarships.

Since 1997, the State SC Fair has awarded more than $ 5 million to South Carolina students through the scholarship program of your life, reflecting the fair’s commitment to community -focused initiatives.

Details and application for a scholarship

This year, the $ 10,000 scholarships will be awarded to 50 adult high schools in South Carolina and will be paid at $ 2500 a year for four years. Students who pursue two years will receive $ 2500 a year in two years.

Scholarships should be used at a university, college or institution in South Carolina and may cover training or other educational expenses such as campus, computer or textbooks. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic and extracurricular achievements, communication skills, need and completeness of the application. Recipients must hold 3.0 GPA on a scale 4.0 and enroll in no less than 30 credit hours each school year to receive funding for this year.
