As governor Greg Abat has announced his legislative priorities, there are two more remarkable bills based on faith that you may have never heard of.

State representative David Spiel of Jaxboro introduced the House Bill 1425 and House Bill 2116.

HB 1425 will allow students and teachers to have time to read prayer and the Bible every school day.

“On the bill to provide time for prayer, we cannot say that the state dictates something,” Spieller said, “This is related to local control. Local school tips can decide whether they want to do this or not. “

And then the HB 2116 will be another attempt to publish the ten orders in classrooms in public schools.

“We do not enter the curriculum or something” Spielor told KTRH, “This bill is about reminding people of the principles on which the country and our country are built.”

Last session, a bill on ten orders did it from the Senate, but was eventually closed in the House. A similar bill adopted in Louisiana but is bound in court. So, will it go here in Texas?

“I think I will get out of the Senate and I think it will get out of the chamber. I think to pray and want to have time at school so you can do this, teachers and students, you have to have this opportunity in Texas.
