Russell Wilson remembers roots in Seattle Seyhox during Pro Bowl – Sports Illustrated

Eleven years ago on Sunday, Seattle Seyhox became the champion for the first time.

In a long-awaited match between the best crime and the best protection of NFL, Seahawks grease Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII. From the safety of the introductory game to a 69th choice from the Super Bowl MVP Malcom Smith, Seattle’s defense did everything on the way to the first championship in franchise history.

On the other hand, Seahawks’ crime does not seem to receive much merit for this championship. It is understandable given that the defense closed Peyton Manning and one of the most dynamic crimes in the league history, but the crime still deserves at least some merit.

The less players still remember this game with kindness. This includes the longtime defender of Seahawks Russell Wilson, the lone offensive starter of this game that he still plays.

To celebrate the anniversary on Sunday, Wilson, who now plays for Pittsburgh Steelers, has published a tribute to this dominant team for 2013.

Wilson, who is already 36 years old, had a relatively easy game in Super Bowl, finishing 18 out of 25 over 206 yards and two touchdowns at night. It was a little before he reached his top in Seattle, but he was still a very effective defender, even back to his early days in NFL.

Despite its contributions on the spot, the 10-time Pro Bowl choice is somewhat polarizing figure in Seattle today. His outcome from Seattle – who, ironically came to trade in 2022 to Broncos – was quite messy, the least, as he and his former teammates traded thinly strokes shortly after.

The lowest seems to have improved these relationships now. In fact, there is a widespread speculation that he reunites with former Seahawks Pete Carol coach with Las Vegas Raiders this season, although it is obvious to see if it will happen.

The less is nice to see Wilson remembers where it all started.
