Robinhood Village breakfast spot opening – Winston-Salem Journal

A new breakfast spot is coming to Robinhood Village.

Renovations are underway at the west end of the mall at the former site of Baked Just So, which closed in May 2023.

The new restaurant at 5395 Robinhood Village Drive will be called Eggies Breakfast. The owner is Gustavo Marr, who owns Los Toritos Mexican Cuisine in Winston-Salem and Bermuda Run and Rusty Rooster Southern Breakfast in Mount Airy.

The menu will include a full range of standard snacks. “We’ll have made-to-order omelets, eggs any style, biscuits, bagels and croissant sandwiches,” he said.

Eggs will also serve items like breakfast tacos and burritos.

“Our pastries — French toast, pancakes, waffles — the way it’s going to be arranged is you pick your own toppings. So if you want a little stack of pancakes, you can go for strawberries, chocolate chips, cheesecake (in chunks), even a churros topping,” said Marr.

The lunch menu will include sandwiches, burgers, soups and salads.

He also plans to obtain ABC permits to serve a limited selection of bottled beer and wine, as well as mimosas, Bloody Mary’s and other drinks.

The restaurant will offer table service and seat about 60 and will have a takeout window.

Hours of operation are expected to be from approximately 6 or 6:30 am to 3 pm daily.

Marr said he hopes to open in January.
