Nevada’s men’s basketball coach Steve Alford does not have any long -term goals after winning Unlv.

“Tomorrow is my goal,” Alford told The Reno Gazette Journal after Wolf Pack defeats Unlv 71-65 in a physical game that remained within a few baskets for most of the game.

“All of our are short -term goals. This is what we can control at the moment, “he said of days and works as a team to prepare physically and mentally before Nevada’s next Nevada match against the Air Force on Tuesday.

The game on Saturday against Silver State rivals came as both teams were in a mini decline. Nevada and Unlv had lost their three previous games.

Alford said the difference that helped the victory in Nevada is the players coming out of the bench.

“We put their bench from 25 to 13, and that was, in the end, the difference,” he said.

“Thank God for these blessings and the ability to develop,” he told a team he said he was beginning to gather.

“Now, as we walk on the road, we cannot be comfortable or satisfied with a good deal.”

Nick Davidson scored 14 points. Justin McBride and Kobi Sanders scored 13 points each.

Nevada shoots 85% of the free throws line compared to 79% of UNLV. The visit to Lawlor for the game on Saturday was 11 008.

Nevada improved to 4-7 in the Mountain West, a total of 12-10. UNV dropped to 5-6 MW, a total of 11-11.
