Goalie Duel Baton Rouge – Vanderbilt University

BATON ROUGE, LA – RV/20 Vanderbilt soccer held to a scoreless tie at LSU Thursday night, second straight shutout. The Commodores have finished with nine clean sheets so far this year, marking the third straight season Vandy has recorded nine shutouts.

The Dores close out the road portion of the regular season schedule undefeated for the first time under head coach Darren Ambrose.

Vanderbilt (8-2-6, 3-2-4) had 18 shots in the game, 12 of which came in the first half. Vandy dominated for seven minutes in the opening frame, pounding out seven shots and holding the Tigers hitless in that span. The Commodores finished with nine corner kicks, the second most in conference play this year.

Goalkeeper Sarah Wojdelko recorded her fourth straight start and made three saves. The senior guard picked up his seventh shutout of the season and 11th of his career. The shot stopper is now tied with Lauren Witt (1998-2002) for fifth all-time in program history in the shutout category.

LSU (7-7-3, 2-5-2) had 11 shots in the game, just three on target. Goalie Sofin Kevorkian recorded nine saves on the night, the most shutouts in a Tiger game this season. The Tigers also accounted for nine corner kicks, tied for the second-most by a Vanderbilt opponent this year.

Vanderbilt returns to Music City in the regular season finale Sunday afternoon, hosting Alabama. The game is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and will be shown on SEC Network+.
