Russell Wilson surrounded the questions about gathering his former coach Pete Carroll in Las Vegas. The veteran defender maintained his commitment to Pittsburgh Steelers during the 2025 Pro Bowl Games media availability.

Wilson and Carol have a successful decade in Seattle, including a superbul win in 2013. Their partnership ended when Wilson moved to Denver, but the recent appointment of Carol as a Raiders coach caused speculation to collect.

Speaking to the Associated Press on Sunday, Wilson praised his ex -mentor, emphasizing his priorities.

“Pete will be a great coach, obviously,” Wilson said. “He’s great in what he does. But I’m focused on Steelers.”

Wilson’s future depends on Pittsburgh’s QB decision. Steelers President Art Rooney II wants to sign Wilson or Justin Fields again before opening the free agency in March. Fields, who publishes a 4-2 record when he filled up for early Wilson, offers young people at 26 years old.

Wilson’s performance in 2024 strengthened his case for the initial role. After returning from a veal bearing injury, he started 11 games. He threw for 2482 yards with 16 touchdowns and only five intercepts, ending 63.7% of the pass.

“He said he’s great, it’s great and brings a lot of energy to practices,” Bowers said.

Wilson pointed out memorable moments from 2024, including a TD pass to Mike Williams against Washington in the 10th week. His deep pastes for the Lunar Ball remained a weapon in the crime of Pittsburgh. The 10-time Pro Bowler saved special praise for Steelers coach Mike Tomlin.

“He is an incredible individual. He is one of the biggest of all time,” Wilson said.

Wilson’s enthusiasm for Pittsburgh contrasts with his dimensioned response to Las Vegas. Carol admitted last week that it was too early to discuss QB options. Their dynamics at the Seattle Exit can also discourage another partnership.
