Accused Baton Rouge Drug Dealer Arrested After Drug Investigation – Yahoo! Voices

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Baton Rouge Police Department has arrested an alleged drug dealer following an investigation.

According to police, officers began an investigation where they learned that a suspect, who has been identified as 25-year-old Richie Brown, was selling drugs from an apartment complex on Monet Drive.

On October 23, detectives and agents executed a search warrant at the apartment. Brown came out of the apartment and was taken into custody. Detectives learned that Brown’s five-month-old son also lived in the apartment.

During the search, agents found the following:

  • Three bags of marijuana with 11.6 grams, 10.6 grams and 10.6 grams.

  • A large bag of marijuana weighing 397 grams.

  • A plastic bag containing eight pills believed to be MDMA.

  • A loaded pistol with an extended magazine.

  • Two Apple iPhones.

  • Black digital scale.

  • A box of sandwich bags for packaging.

Brown was arrested and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail on charges of two counts of possession with intent to distribute a Schedule I drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful carrying of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a firearm by felon and unlawful use of controlled substances in the presence of minors.

Brown also had three warrants, according to arrest records. The amount of the guarantee has not been determined.
