Drug take-back events are being offered at two different locations in Glendale this weekend.
The Glendale Police Department, Fry’s Grocery Stores, Rise Up Glendale and the Drug Enforcement Administration provide Glendale residents with the ability to safely and conveniently dispose of expired, discontinued and unused pharmaceutical substances.
Both locations are available from 10am to 2pm on Saturday 26 October. The north location is in the Fry’s parking lot at 5771 W. Thunderbird Road, southeast corner across from 59th and Thunderbird. The south location is in the Frye parking lot at 6710 W. Bethany Home Road, northwest corner of 67th and Bethany Home.
Controlled and non-controlled pills, tablets, and capsules will be accepted, as will over-the-counter medications. Attendees are asked to pack the items.
Medical sharps waste is accepted if it is in reasonable quantities. Organizers do not accept glass containers, inhalers, intravenous solutions or injectable drugs.
