Atlanta United has been successful in a second pre -zazel match, 2-1, over B’ham – The Atlanta Voice

Birmingham, Al. – On Saturday, February 1st, Atlanta United played its second pre -season match against USL Championship Birmingham Legion FC at the Birmingham Protective Stadium.

Atlanta won the match with 2-0, which included a second half goal from Birmingham.

The match was another opportunity for Atlanta’s Atlanta Manager Ronnie Dale to look at some of the younger and newer players of the team. Together with Noah Cob and Jay Fortun, a new signing, Japanese striker Kayman Togashi and 2025 mls Super Draft Selection, midfielder Will Reilly started the match. The starting staff also included backup goalkeeper Josh Cohen.

Then he scored his first goal for Atlanta in the 25th minute of the Ronald Hernandez PAS match.

Cohen was tested in the first half several times and won several savings in the process. It will be necessary for a successful season with 40-year-old Brad Guzan back as a starter for the 2025 season.

The second half began with Guzan, Luis Abram, Atlanta’s defender 2 Dominic Chong Qui, Tristan Muya, Mateeus Klich, Saba Lobanidze, Alexey Mirachuk and striker Jamal Tiair enter the match.

Atlanta United had the advantage he had in the second half, winning several chance of upgrading his lead with one goal. Atlanta made 10 shots at a goal in Birmingham-Thiare almost scored the second goal of the match twice before his own goal in Birmingham made the score 2-0.

The five stripes won six angular strokes during the match, while Birmingham had only five shots on the Atlanta network and only four angular strokes compared.

The successful result comes on the heels at a 2-1 loss in Chattanuga the previous weekend. The match was the openman of the season for Birmingham Legion FC.
