Due to high waves in the Saltcoats coming into contact with overhead cables, services stopped running between Kilwinning and Largs/Ardrossan earlier in the afternoon.
Ticketing was introduced on all McGill routes between Largs and Gourock/Greock and Stagecoach West between Ardrossan and Glasgow.
