She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on January 25, 1937 by Clifford F. Loring and Bernis Jordan Loring.

Barbara survived her husband William “Bill” Latan; Sons: Todd Latan and wife Lisa of Wilmington, North Carolina and Pat Laton of Maple Hill, North Carolina; Granddaughter, Madison Latan from Leland, North Carolina and sister, Gail Loring of Charlotte, North Carolina.

The visit will be held from 10am to 11am on Monday, February 3, 2025, in the chapel for funeral and cremation on COBLE, 1155 Shipbuilding Blvd. Wilmington, NC 28412.

The funeral service will follow a funeral visit to the Greenlaun Memorial Park.
