Volunteer Call: Aworthy Opportunities through the Help Center – Dakota News Now

Southern Dakotani is known for giving the community through volunteering. Here are some options to help over the next few weeks in the Sioux Falls area. To learn more about these events and others, contact the help center or dial 211.

Empty bowl event is a community gathering to help fight hunger and help those affected by poverty. The event will be held on February 20 at the multicultural center and will include delicious home soups and handmade bowls. You can voluntarily get involved to help adjust the event, bus tables or cleaning. You can also attend this event and with a free donation to get delicious food and a handmade bowl to take home! They have different needs, including setup, cleaning, raffle items and general help throughout the night. The revenue from this event will benefit from the church on the street, a journey of hope and Pueblo de Dios.

Warriors never give up is a local non -profit purpose offering outdoor adventures for disabled veterans. They seek volunteer assistance with the hosting of their annual banquet on February 22. They have different needs, including setup, cleaning, raffle items and general help throughout the night.

Olympics They are looking for the score and referees for their basketball tournament in the southeast zone on March 1. The tournament is held in Harisburg at the Harisburg High School and more than 600 athletes at the Olympic Games, Coaches and United Partners from Siu Falls and the surrounding area will compete at 9:30 am and ends around 3:00 pm.
