Hillary Clinton says Trump will go to Madison Square Garden to reenact 1939 Nazi rally – Daily Mail

Hillary Clinton compared Donald Trump’s upcoming rally at Madison Square Garden to the 1939 pro-Nazi event at the same iconic venue.

Trump’s 2016 Democratic rival is still criticizing him and warning Americans against giving him another term with only 12 days left until Election Day.

The former secretary of state said Trump was seeking to “recreate” the Nazi rally that took place in New York just over six months before the start of World War II.

She agreed with former White House chief of staff John Kelly’s classification of Trump as a “fascist.” and urged voters to “open their eyes” and stop Trump from winning.

“The term is appropriate,” she told CNN anchor Caitlan Collins on Thursday.

Hillary Clinton said Donald Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday would try to “re-enact” a neo-Nazi rally at the same venue in 1939.

Trump is holding a rally in Madison Square Garden on Sunday, just nine days before the 2024 presidential election.

Some questioned the choice of a seat so close to the election when New York state is heavily blue and it is highly unlikely that the former president will be able to win enough seats to win over voters in the liberal city.

“You know, another thing you’re going to see next week, Caitlan, is that Trump is actually recreating the 1939 Madison Square Garden rally,” Clinton continued.

She explained: “The neo-Nazis, the fascists in America were lining up to pledge their support for the government they saw in Germany. So I don’t think we can ignore it.

“Now that might be a leap for some people, and a lot of others might think, ‘I don’t want to go there.’ I don’t want to say that. But please open your eyes to the danger this man poses to our country, because I think it’s clear and available to anyone who pays attention,” Clinton concluded.

Sunday’s rally in New York is sure to be stacked with a number of speakers supporting Trump’s bid for a second, nonconsecutive term in the White House.

The venue has a capacity of 19,500, which was completely packed for the 1939 neo-Nazi rally.

Trump says he will also sell out Madison Square Garden for his rally.
