Sandra Kay Wainingner (Burial and Cremation on Wilmington)

Wilmington – born August 23, 1938 in Grand Rapids, Mi, Sandra Kay Waingsner decided to add a dash of excitement to the universe, making her grand entrance. She came out of the scene left on January 27, 2025 in Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 86, after she had recently reminded us of the unpredictability of life.

Sandra, known as Sweeting, was a woman whose life was aromatic with adventures and a heat for life as life as her favorite ice cream creams. Together with her husband Jeff, she has captured the Oleander Drive retail landscape with their legendary March. Not those who rest on their laurels, they soon dived into the world of frozen temptations, first with a TCBY yogurt franchise, then with Maggie Moos’s excruciating creations, and finally, making his own brand of joy with sweet homemade ice cream. It is safe to say that Sandra had a PhD. in taste.

A culinary artist in itself, Sandra could have an ice cream cake erupt to make even the most residual smile. Her kitchen was her canvas and every creation was a masterpiece. When she did not cause the kitchen to move, she could be found delay the great outdoor, striving for her favorite garden with the same care and affection she threw on her family.

Sandra was preceded by death by her daughter Linda Hojington and her parents, Paul and Velma Shomeker Gray.

She leaves behind a family tree, as rich and varied as her garden: her dedicated husband of 53, Jeff Weyngardner; her daughter Pat Dehart and his husband Greg; Her son Aaron Tanenbaum and wife Mary; Her grandchildren Samantha Camp and husband Lee, Alicia Dehart and my husband Michael; And great -grandson, Wyat Dehart, who promises to continue the heritage of charm and sweetness.

Although no services are planned at this time, Sandra’s life will be celebrated with every bite of ice cream, every flowering flower and every impulse of laughter shared among those who knew it. Her story may have ended, but her inheritance of love and laughter lives, a testimony of life, well -lived and abundantly sweetened.

Please share memories and condolences here.
