7 Recent openings and closures of restaurants in the Wilmington area – Starnewsonline.com

Open to restaurants

Vochos Urban Mexican Kitchen: The restaurant group behind SI! Señor Modern Mex and Chingon Tacqueria have added this restaurant on the 1138 Road military border in Wilmington in the former Ruby Tudiks. The inspiration is Mexico City and the modern and fusion flavors that you can find in CDMX.

Pickles and cranes: Of course, the focus is not necessarily on food or drinks – but on the tournament. But this new sports site of 1207 S. 13th St. Near the city center, Wilmington bends strongly into the social aspect and includes a bar with snacks, wine and local variens.

Closing the restaurant

K & w cafeteria: Wilmington’s location of this North Carolina cafe chain closed at the end of 2024 at the 3501 Oleander Drive at the Hanover Center mall.

Grief is drowningR: The owners of this bar and the entertainment site of Wilmington Tiki move to the west coast. Although there were some openings in January with limited senses, this business in the former place for theater of 19 S. 10th St. It sells the unique memorials that decorate the bar.

Apple Annie Bake Shop: Don’t worry. This popular Wilmington bakery doesn’t go anywhere. But they have closed their location on an 1121 military road. The lead store of 837 S. Kerr Ave. It remains open.

Nawab fine Indian cuisine: The owner of one of the Indian restaurants of Wilmington has opened a new breakfast in Havelok, as the property of 6828 Market St. is for sale. But there is still hope that he will reopen Nawab elsewhere in Wilmington.

Metro: Another location of Wilmington on this sandwich chain closed at the end of 2024 while the 7110 Wrightsville Ave. It is no longer, the seats of 1039 S. College Road, 4414 Market St. and 7208 Market St.
