The Talahassi Police Department has confirmed that pedestrian deaths have been struck early Sunday.
Around 2:45, 65-year-old Randal Alan was struck and killed at the intersection of Okala Road and Pensacola Street, police said.
TPD spokesman Alicia Hill said on Tuesday that the participating vehicle was located and they had identified a suspect but no arrests were made.
Alan is one of the six pedestrians killed in Leon County this year, according to Florida Department of Highway Safety and Florida motor vehicles.
So far, in 2024, there are 115 vehicle crashes involving pedestrians, not counting death on Sunday and 44 crashes involving cyclists in 2024, with one mortality rate this year.
