Kentucky State Police search for suspect in Hardin County who led officers on chase – WAVE 3

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Kentucky State Police and officers from the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office are working an active scene near BlueOval SK in Glendale.

HCSO is assisting KSP with a suspect who led state troopers on a chase from Bowling Green into Hardin County. Police told WAVE News that officers are currently in a corn field and a perimeter is being set up. The man is believed to be armed and dangerous.

Officials with Kentucky State Police Post 4 said the suspect crashed his vehicle and fled into a corn field.

It’s a developing scene in the 8000 block of South Dixie Highway near Glendale with dozens of police cars and a helicopter. Hardin County Sheriff John Ward confirmed that they also use drones.

Kentucky State Police Elizabethtown is asking everyone in the area to lock their doors and stay inside. Nearby businesses are blocked, including BlueOval SK.
