Utah Hockey Club Vs. Columbus Live Blog Game 51 – KSL Sports

Salt Lake City –The Utah hockey club is trying to end a losing series of three games when Columbus’s blue jackets come to Delta Center. Tonight is the first meeting between the two franchises.

Utah HC (21-21-8, 50 points) hosts the blue jackets (25-19-7, 57 points) in Delta Center on Friday, January 31st. Columbus enters the night with the final wild card at the eastern conference. Utah ranks fourth in the Western Conference race, seven points behind the flames in Calgary.

Utah suffered a stroke earlier in the day when it had been announced that the Logan Kulie center was out indefinitely with a lower body injury. His 15 goals are second behind Captain Clayton Keller, and his 28 assists are third. The 43 points of the towers are second behind Keller.

Tower has settled in his second full season. Pittsburgh -born, Pennsylvania, was developing in one of the most exciting offensive franchise players.

The absence of towers is more pressing on Keller, Nick Schmalz and Dylan Guenter.

Utah had a chance to move to the standings with 14 games in January, including eight on home ice. Instead of making a recess in the standings, the club lost eight out of 13 before tonight. Utah has the least wins in the League at home with 8-11-5 records.

Columbus faces Utah HC for the first time

Defender Zack Werrenski (16 goals, 38 assists) 54 points leads the team № 7 to the east. Dightwinger Kirill Marchenko has scored 20 goals and 33 assists, leaving it one point behind Werenski. Marchenko has a goal in two consecutive games.

Five blue jackets enter the night points for riding, led by five points by Kent Johnson in the last four games.

Columbus is 3-3 in its last six after a winning series of six games. Blue jackets have wins one goal, including a 2-1 OT win in Las Vegas on January 30th. They are 7-14-4 on the road.
