A Birmingham man was fatally shot Friday in a Selma high school parking lot, authorities said Thursday.
Selma police responded to Southside High School at 7975 US Highway 80 East in Selma around 11 p.m. Friday to a report of shots fired in the area, according to Central Alabama Crimestoppers, which is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a homicide investigation .
Authorities found the victim, later identified as 32-year-old Birmingham resident Devante Tashawn Hall, with a gunshot wound near Water Avenue and Broad Street in Selma.
Hall was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined the shooting happened in the Southside High School parking lot.
No suspects were in custody as of Thursday.
