The city put its position in a written statement: “The long -standing immigration policy of Fremont follows the present state legislation. Insofar as federal law enforcement officers implement immigration, urban resources and resources cannot be used to support these efforts.
FreMont’s Police Department has a written policy on immigration violations. The 11 -page policy determines the circumstances in which employees can arrest or retain immigrants.
California legislation has introduced numerous bills aimed at shielding families from the application of immigration.
On Wednesday, Trump signed Laken Riley’s law in the law, giving the federal authorities a broader power to deport immigrants to the United States illegally accused of crimes. He also announced at the ceremony that his administration plans to send the “oldest criminal aliens” to the Guantanamo Bay Center, Cuba.
