Holland Gardens will be open for one last holiday sale before closing this year, according to the owners’ son.
The 59-year-old garden center and vacation hotspot at 3739 50th St. previously announced it would close earlier this year in January. Due to decades of inventory and “overwhelming” requests from customers who want it to stay open, the center continues to operate quietly.
“They’re quietly running their store and getting ready for another Christmas season to say goodbye,” said Daryl Holland, son of owners Wayne and Ann Holland. “They want all their longtime friends and loyal customers to know that they’re still here — still working — for this stretch through the end of the year.”

Holland Gardens will hold its Open House on October 25-26 and November 2-3 to kick off the final months of operations until the lease expires on December 31.
Daryl Holland said “almost everything” in the store is between 40%-70% off, minus a few exceptions. Custom made Christmas string lights available.
