Wilmington, NC (WWAY)-the first Wilmington social area starts this Saturday in Brooklyn arts. Approved by the city of Wilmington, this new initiative will allow visitors to enjoy beer, wine and cocktails from participating companies while exploring the area.
The social area will be active on Saturday three in February, from 12 to 5 pm. To participate, guests can take a branded cup from the participating companies. These glasses must be marked with a sticker, indicating that the patrons are approved to move elsewhere.
Joe Apkaryan, owner of the eagle Dare, believes that this initiative is more than enjoying a drink.
“I think it’s more about simply encouraging a social neighborhood where you are walking, engaging more than just going to the place after you are there, leave and go elsewhere, you encourage walking and developing this meaning of the community . “
This pilot program will continue with two more events this month, including an event for benefits and a walk on Valentine’s Day.
