Transit agencies in San Bernardino will celebrate the day of transit capital in honor of the black seamstress Rosa Parks, whose position against the segregation in 1955 changed American history.

According to the transit body of San Bernardino County, Victor Valley’s Hasper transit is one of several transport agencies to celebrate the special day on Tuesday, February 4.

Rosa parks

Nearly 70 years ago, Parks refused to give up his bus seat to a white passenger in Montgomery, Alabama.

The United States Congress honors her as “the first lady of civil rights” and “the mother of the freedom movement”.

Transit capital is celebrated worldwide on February 4th to celebrate Parks’s birthday, which would be 112 this year.
