Sioux Falls, SD (Dakota News now) – restaurants in Sioux Falls are hoping to still have a competition appetite, as the annual Burger battle ends and three new foods start on February 1st.
In January, Foodies can try a selection of unique burgers from over 30 restaurants in the battle of the center of Sioux Falls Burger. As the race ends on Friday, the winner’s message is expected to come soon.
Since Saturday, the race has shifted to taco, pizza and sandwiches.
Southside slamwich
Southside slamwich The competition will return to Sioux Falls for the second year. The competition includes spins of the classic sandwich from 15 restaurants south from 41st street. Competitors can be viewed here.
Display with a bit of bites
New in the area this year is the size of the bites. The competition in February has restaurants in small cities within 45 minutes after Sioux Falls, placing its best taco forward.
Participating restaurants include Squealer’s Smoke Shack and Tiatan’s Tavern in Tea, Hatfield Roadhouse in Hatfield, Minnesota, Chuds Pub & Grub and Sports Center in Larchwood, Iowa, Taco Vault at Worth

Battle for a Sioux Empire pizza
The slices of ‘ZA will also be tested in February. The new Sioux Empire pizza battle is distinguished by local, craftsmanship at Sioux Falls, which fights to see who wins the best special pizza.
The participating restaurants include Invictus Pizza Kitchen, both places of Tomacelli, Pizza of Dareo, the thirsty duck, Marco’s pizza, Charlie’s pizza, the boss’s pizza, the pizza of the big popes, the pizza of the purchase, the pizza of Valentino.
