Tallahasee, Florida (WCTV) -17-years-old and 19-years-old are behind bars in connection with the Meriadoc Road murder early Tuesday morning, according to a Talahasi police station.

Seventeen-year-old Tylain Williams and 19-year-old Deschang Jones face accusations of first-degree murder and a major theft of a motor vehicle in connection with the incident, the TPD press release said.

Police did not identify the victim who was killed in their press release.

The deadly incident unfolded shortly before 1:15 pm Tuesday after the victim drove Williams and Jones to the 1800 block of Meriadoc Road, according to the police station.

After the victim exited the vehicle, police said the victim was then shot without “obvious precipitation or provocation.”

After the shooting, Williams and Jones then fled the accident in the victim’s vehicle, such as Jones was driving to release.

About two hours later, an employee of the Florida highway patrol tried to start stopping traffic on the vehicle to move near Leon-Jeffson County, police said.

However, Jones escaped from the traffic stop and crashed the vehicle near the Jefferson County County, according to TPD.

Then the two suspects fled the scene of the crash, the police.

Two days later, on Thursday, police in Talahassi said the special group of the Marshals of the United States was detained by Jones and Williams near the 4100 block of Jackson Bluff Road without additional incidents.
