Dallas minority owner Maverix Mark Kuban went to NBA All-Star selections after Kiri Irving and Luca Doncic did not make the abbreviation.
NBA has announced the full list of 24 players who will participate in the NBA All-Star 2025 game. The starters for each conference were announced a week ago while the reserves were announced last night,
All-Star participants from the East include Jalen Brunson, Donovan Mitchell, Jason Tatum, Janice Antetokunpo, Call-Antany cities, Darius Garland, Damian Lillard, Jalen Brown, Evan Magli, Tyler Herland, Cade Cade and Pascal Siaak.
The West will have Stephen Curry, Shay Gilgeus-Alexander, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Nikola Dzhikic, Victor Wangnyama, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Jalem Williams, James Harden, Jaren Jackson Jacks.
The absence of Dallas Maverix’s duet Luca Doncic and Kiri Irving is surprising to see. Mavericks are the only team with over 25 wins this season that has no representative in the All-Star game. Although there are reasons for this development, former Mavericks majority owner Mark Kuban is not satisfied.
Mark Kuban mocks the NBA after the duo of Mavericks is not chosen
Kuban spent more than two decades as governor of Dallas Maverix before selling Miriam Adelson’s majority property last season. He gave up his position to Patrick Dumont governor and lost his permanent places in court this season. He remains far from the NBA discussion, but the results of All-Star angered the 66-year-old.
“These All-Star television ratings will be crazy … The NBA will NBA. Crazy (that) onions and kai don’t go. “
The Cuban bumps heads with the NBA all the time when he was a full -time manager. However, the decision to leave Irving and Doncic on the list is not really in the hands of the league. The All-Star Game voting process was the same as always as Doncic and Irving did not fulfill the voting criteria.
Doncic an average of 28.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 7.8 assists this season, but played only 22 games. Erving averaged 24.2 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists this season.
His case as Snub is much stronger. Doncic just doesn’t play enough to guarantee selection, although Erving seems to have been lost in the West, although he is worthy of call.
There must be All-Star Snubs every season
No matter who does it, the conversations for all the stars happen every year. Irving and Doncic are not the only players who have missed this season. To the West, another star guard Devin Booker failed. Star Frontcourt Domantas Sabonis was also left on its list.
At the Eastern Conference, Trey Young has been trying for the third consecutive All-Star Snub. He even jokes on social media that he renamed the word to make fun of his first name, why how often he happens to him. The nature of the All-Star choice will always bring more players into a dispute than the 24 who are called.
Lamelo Ball was the leader of the votes among the guards. Even that was not enough to bring Charlotte Hornets’ security in the All-Star game. NBA weighs votes from fans, players and media for beginners while coaches choose the reserves. Of course, some players do not like the coaches around the NBA and are winding up to fight bias.
Irving and Booker were surrounded by James Harden and Jalen Williams, despite the comparable production. Domantas Sabonis countdown statistics are better than Alperin Segun did not help. The Turkish center was selected as a reserve in front of Sabonis based on the team record.
Many of those players who are throwing away can still make the game as a substitute for the injury, so we cannot exclude their participation. However, it is clear that their peers and coaches did not view them like all the stars, despite the strong seasons they have.
