Renault Omokri wins Paul Paul Eneenche in court – Igbere TV

The Federal Metropolitan Territory Magistrate Court (FCT) has released the detention order against Renault Omocri, author of bestsellers and a former spokesman for the president, in a case brought by Pastor Paul Enenche of the International Dunamis Center.

The court earlier issued the detention order without prior notification to the Omocri.

However, after appeal by his legal representatives, the director of OSA & Co., the chairman of the Master’s Magistrate, the chief Emanuel Ayiana, ordered the removal of the name of Omocri from the first information report (FIR) during a hearing on January 30, 2025.

Omokri’s legal team expressed a strong disapproval of the way the detention order was received, calling it “non -Christian” and “under the character of the pastor” to seek such an order secretly without informing the accused.

The legal team said that Omocri himself learned only about developing a blog for gossip.

Responding to the case, Omokri confirmed his position that Pastor Eneen and his wife, Dr. Becky Enenche, in their roles as religious leaders.

He accused the pastor of opening in a guerrilla policy openly during the 2023 Nigerian elections, using the church as a campaign platform for Labor Party candidate Peter Obi.

According to the wrapping, Eneenche’s behavior would not be tolerated if a Muslim priest did the same.

He cited the pastor’s call for his congregation to “tell his friends and relatives what to vote” while showing images and symbols of preferred candidates.

Omokri claims that such actions violate the election law, as well as the registration of the Dunamis church in the Corporate Affairs Commission, which limits it to church activities.

Omokri also criticizes Pastor Eneenche’s remarks about the Congress Candidate of all Progressives (APC), now President Bola Tinu, calling them inflammatory and capable of inciting religious discord in Nigeria’s multi -ethnic and religious society.

He claims that in countries such as the US or the United Kingdom, a religious leader involved in such political approvals would risk losing his license for preaching and tax exempt.

Beyond the political participation, Omokri also took up the wife of Pastor Eneenche, Dr. Becky Enenche, because of his controversial statement that the lack of tithe was invalidating previous contributions.

He described this as an attempt to financial manipulation of Christians, arguing that he was contrary to biblical teachings.

Omokri pointed out that Peter Obi, whom pastor Enenche actively supports, is a Catholic who does not practice tithing.

He questioned the logic of calling Christians to vote for a candidate for the non-Tit, while preaching that not years could not prosper.

Referring to biblical texts, Omokri emphasized that the tithes in Scripture are an agricultural tax designed for Levites who have no inheritance on Earth.

He claims that monetary tithes are not a biblical mandate and accuse some pastors of commercialization of Christianity for financial profit.

Despite the court’s decision to release the detention order, Omokri’s attorneys said he remained ready to challenge Pastor Eneenche in court if the question continued.
