Washington’s commanders Josh Harris removed a full page in a newspaper Thursday Washington Post, sharing a letter to the fans. It can be seen entirely below:
Dear fans of commanders,
This season marks the beginning of the return of football to Washington in his status as a leading franchise in NFL and restoring the meaning, pride and a sense of community that this team has been represented for decades.
Growing up in Chevy Chase, I remember Sunday when the whole DMV gathered in support. These memories have shaped my vision for this franchise and I will continue to strive to tirelessly build a team that unites and inspires for years to come.
When we became the governors of this franchise two years ago, our mission was clear: to win on the pitch and in the community, creating a culture of excellence, attracting the best talent and invested deeply in our team.
I couldn’t be proud of our front office and coaching staff led by Adam Peters and Dan Quinn, who set the tone of this franchise and laid the basis for success. And from next week, Mark Clus will officially join the organization. Mark has brought decades of experience as an exceptional business leader and will focus on creating incredible fans and guarantees that our team delivers to the communities we have so much happiness to serve.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the incredible efforts of our players, whose hard work, sand and brotherhood determined the season. Thank you to Jaden Daniels, who made history and broken records. And I thank our additional captains after the season Zack Ertz, Terry McLurin, Jeremy Reeves and Bobby Wagner, along with the other players, all activated and contributed to provide a 12-5 regular season and an exciting playoff.
This season was a huge reminder that commanders could galvanize not only a fanbase but an entire community. Our mission – to build an elite franchise and to create unforgettable experiences – begins and ends with you, fans. Your unwavering support meant everything. A week after week, at high, low and unforgettable moments (which welcome Mary in week 8!), You showed up.
We build this for you and we will not stop until we have a championship.
