Birmingham City women sign Australian international Emily van Egmond – OneFootball – English

Birmingham City signed Australian international Emily van Egmond for a deal by two and a half years after leaving the San Diego wave.

The midfielder recently reached the landmark of 150 hats for his country, scoring 31 goals and playing 70 times for the San Diego wave, during which they won the NWSL Shield and Challenge Cup.

She had an 18-month spell with West Ham, while her well-traveled career took her to such clubs as Fortuna Hjorring. Western New York Flash, Seattle Reign, Chicago Red Stars, FFC Frankfurt, Wolfsburg, Orlando Pride, Melbourne City and no less than five magic with its first senior team, Newcastle Jets.

Speaking to Bluestv, Van Egmond said: “I’m happy to be here. I can’t wait to start. When Birmingham came to me, I liked the ambition.

“At the moment they are on top of the table, they want to be promoted, and I just thought what the opportunity to come to a great club and to be part of something exciting.”
