Lubbock, Texas (January 30, 2025) – Lubbock’s Christian man’s basketball team held West Texas A&M to only 35.2 percent shooting, including only 11.8 percent of ARC, leading to 68-53 victory for LCU.
The Chaparali (15-6, 10-3) swept the regular season against the Buffs for the first time after the 2021-22 season, which was the last time the LCU won the Lone Star conference.
Four players scored in double digits for Chaps led by Sean Murphywho had 18 points of perfect performance with 6 for 6 of the pitch. Murphy’s only Miss at the night came to the free throw line and he tied to the team with seven fights. His partner in the boards was Amondo Miller Jr.who also added 15 points. Najeeb Muhammad They helped with 13 points and four assists.
The defense of Lubbock Christian Limited West Texas A&M to its second worst shooting rate at three points of the season with just two rules in 17 attempts. The Buffs actually made their first two attempts at three points at night and then missed the next 15. The lowest percentage of three points of 11.1 percent was also against Chaps earlier this month at Canyon.
How did it happen
Early triangers of Ethan Duncan Miller Jr. also gave Chaps a seven-point lead, but Buffs responded with 8-0 run at 14:00 brand. The teams traded baskets on the following two possessions, but the lead of WT 15-14 with 11:55 will be their last night.

»Chaps received all except two of their 63 points out of their five beginners. Kendall Dow’s A pair of free throws in the first half were the only points on the bench.
»LCU missed only two free throws at night, shooting 88.2 percent of the charity. They fired better than 80 percent in three straight games and 11 times in general this season.
