The world’s largest manufacturer of heavy machinery, Caterpillar, is ready to enter Cuba after the island’s embargo is raised.
The company selected the Puerto Rimco company, Inc. As a distributor for Cuba, Rimko is already distributed in Puerto Rico and the East Caribbean.
“Cuba needs access to the production of products Caterpillar produces and since commercial restrictions are looking forward to contributing to the development of infrastructure in Cuba,” says Philip Kelikh, Vice President responsible for the Department of Services for Regions of Regions America and Europe.
Caterpillar has been a supporter of raising Cuba’s embargo for more than 20 years.
