Laredo, Texas (KGNS) – Larendo Police, the District Prosecutor’s Office of the web and the International University of Texas A&M (TAMIU) are working together to learn the community how to notice and announce virtue.
According to Stalkingawareness.org, 6% to 39% of students report that they are watching while in school.
Norma Garcia, the victim of the victim of a crime at the Larendo Police Department, said the lurking often begins with repeated online harassment that could lead to physical contact. Garcia encouraged students to report the tami police as soon as possible.
Aid is available to victims through the state crime compensation program. “For lurking cases, they offer something called” relocation “that can give up $ 5,000 to help relocate expenses, rent or deposits,” Garcia explained.
Officials did not share how many lurry cases were reported in Laredo, but Stalkingawareness.org states that 33% of the stalkers are former partners. Community leaders have emphasized the importance of reporting a stubbornness in order to keep the victims safe.
