Colombia, SK-The American-South Carolina (AFP-SC) states Matt Hum today issued the following statement after the Senate vote to cross the S62, but failed to gather enough votes to expand the universal education program:
“There is no better time than the National School Choice Week than legislators to uphold freedom of education. Today, South Carolina senators have missed many opportunities to make Bill for savings of education universal, which is disappointing to students throughout the country.
“Although we are disappointed with the Voices of the Senate, the fight is not completed and we will hold the legislators responsible. AFP-SC will continue to stand strong in support of the universal school choice, working with champions in the house to achieve a better solution for students and parents. There is an inertia for expanding freedom of education among families across the country and we are ready to tackle so every south Carolina Student has access to education that meets their needs. “
